Health Catalyst’s mission is to be the catalyst for massive, measurable, data-informed healthcare improvement. As a fast-growing leader in healthcare technology, they needed a refreshed visual identity and consistent design system that could scale across a wide range of channels — from national product launches and thought leadership campaigns to tradeshows, publications, and digital marketing.

Chronic Condition Management

By combining illustrations, icons, and concise text with bold colors and a clear layout, this infographic design simplified complex information and made it more accessible. The result was a visually engaging resource that helped healthcare providers and patients better understand chronic care strategies, supporting improved outcomes and higher-quality care.

Interactive PDF

Optimizing Women’s Health

Created to present a large volume of information in a compact, easy-to-navigate format, this interactive PDF used an infographic-inspired layout with clickable buttons and hyperlinks. The design allowed users to access key content quickly without being overwhelmed by text. The result was a visually appealing, user-friendly communication tool that made complex information more engaging and actionable.

Results & Impact

Retrospective

This role gave me the opportunity to not only design but also build scalable systems that empowered a growing organization. It stretched me as both a creative leader and a systems thinker — balancing craft with structure, and design execution with mentorship.

If I approached a similar role again, I’d push even further into design operations — connecting creative systems more directly to analytics so marketing teams could measure the impact of design decisions on engagement and growth.

Overall, my time at Health Catalyst was formative. I grew as a leader, strengthened my ability to translate complex ideas into clear visuals, and helped a fast-paced organization communicate its mission with clarity and consistency.
