CoinLion is a U.S.-based cryptocurrency trading platform with a mission to make crypto simple and accessible for everyone — from experts to newcomers. Formed in 2017, the company sought a refreshed brand identity that would reflect its innovative technology, secure platform, and community-driven approach.
Process & Approach

CoinLion’s existing identity no longer matched its ambitions or position in the blockchain space. I began by exploring how the brand could better communicate simplicity, security, and modernity while standing out in a crowded market.

I redesigned the logo and refined the visual system, introducing a more contemporary aesthetic that communicated trust, clarity, and innovation. The updated identity established a foundation for consistency across digital and social platforms.

I provided design direction for CoinLion’s website to align the digital experience with the refreshed brand identity. I also designed social graphics that paired bold visuals with concise messaging, making the company’s complex technology more approachable and engaging.

Retrospective
This project reinforced the importance of aligning brand identity with company mission — especially in fast-moving industries like crypto. By simplifying visuals and messaging, we helped CoinLion communicate complex technology in a way that felt clear and inviting.
If I approached a similar project again, I would look for opportunities to expand the identity into a more robust design system — including extended brand guidelines and marketing templates — to ensure consistency as the company grows and evolves.
